I am half-finished installing a zipper in the super-secret-never-ending-Christmas-gift.

But it looks all wonky, and it really does need to be perfect.

So, I put it down, blew my nose, splashed my face, and proceeded to procrastinate.

But, today is a new day. I will conquer! I will succeed! I will get closure! umm, literally…

  1. In a pinch you could probably take it to a tailor and have them do it. My sister tends to draw blood sewing on a button so she had her tailor sew the zipper into the sweater she knit and I’m pretty sure it wasn’t very expensive.

    • I did consider this. The problem is that I live way out in the boonies and can’t make a special trip just for that – especially when I justify the knitting to the husband as “saving money”. I know, I know – yarn and needles get expensive. Don’t tell the man. 🙂
It turned out okay. I sucked it up and got it done. It was good for me to conquer it. 🙂

  2. *That* is a fantastic idea in the previous comment.

I read an awesome tutorial/suggestions about zippers on Grumperina’s blog. I am pretty sure there is a link to the specific post on her sidebar.

    Good Luck!
