To the Letter

That is how I am following this pattern. To the letter. I am making exactly the same sweater in the picture. No modifications. No thinking. No improving or doing something that makes more sense instead.

Therefore, this is where I will be today:

Seaming. Seaming. And, yes, more seaming. Hasn’t Kim Hargreaves ever heard of a circular needle?

(Hey! Look at that! I knit one ball a day for 12 days! That is a man-sized sweater, albeit in pieces, laying there! Cool, huh?)

    • Well, they were small – 123 yards each. And, mostly it was Stockinette. And we watched a movie every night that I was working on it. That pretty much makes that a very easy thing to accomplish… πŸ™‚

  1. My husband will be very unhappy to hear this. He is really bugging me about his sweater – and there’s NO seaming!!

Good luck with all those seams! Can’t wait to see it! (Modeled shots would be great too!)

    • Get the man to model? That would be something, wouldn’t it. But then all you ladies would just get jealous at what a hunk I’ve got! πŸ™‚

And, come on, Girl! Get it done! Put in a good movie that you don’t really have to pay too much attention to, get cozy on the couch and put in a couple hours on it. Repeat a few nights a week and it will be done in no time. I dare you. πŸ˜‰

  2. you’ve seriously inspired me….I had already pulled out sweetums’s sweater…but now…I’m going to get it done! Yes! I! Will!
Part of the problem is….that I ordered “worsted weight” yarn…that I swear is more like sport at best…so I’m working on size 3 and 4 needles….oh…and I’m a dreadfully slow knitter….but….I’m gonna do it!
