Stuck in a Rut?

That’s what the man said when I whipped up these overalls for The Blessing.

And maybe he has a point. These practically flew off of the needles just a week before:

And, of course, my pregnant knitting was somewhat similar…

Then there are the short overalls that I adore and wish (oh, how I wish I had made them pants!)

Okay, it may be a rut, but it is a cute rut… and I am not out of it yet. I’ve got some Mal Chunky turning into overalls as we speak! The Blessing is excited about those –

Wondering how The Blessing is doing? To avoid inundating this knitting blog with random facts about Down syndrome and drowning out pictures of knitting with pictures of our new baby, I started a new blog just for her. As we adjust to having a child with special needs and experience the blessings that are sure to come with the struggles, I will be keeping a sort of journal about it at 321blessing.com. Check it out. Or don’t. Either way, look for more knitting posts here on woolandchocolate in the coming weeks.

What happens in a house full of girls when Mama gets out the camera to take pictures of the new baby?

Camera hogs! But you know that I love it.

I did manage to get a few cute shots of my little Blessing in her new sweater –

And, while we are modeling, here are a few modeled shots of the tiny knitting I did while pregnant –

Okay, so I know this is a knitting blog, but I just can’t get over how sweet that baby is! And, thank you all for your kind words of encouragement and support. We are doing much better these days. We still have some nursing issues to overcome, but The Blessing is gaining weight, sleeping well, and stealing our hearts with every yawn, wink, and sigh. We are all completely smitten!
